Payroll Specialist (Remote)

Contract
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 am-5:30 pm EST
Responsibilities:
- Process multiple bi-weekly payroll and related item.
- Backup to other payroll processor(s) to process payrolls as needed
- Entering data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs
- Collecting timesheet data and payroll information
- Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
- Preparing and processing paychecks and cash deposits
- Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation & transactions
- Responding to payroll related inquiries and resolving concerns
- Run Weekly/monthly reports as necessary.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- Degree in Accounting, business or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience working in payroll or a similar role
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices
- Experienced with Dayforce payroll software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must have high numerical aptitude
- Must be detail oriented
