Material Handler - Inventory Control

Shift: Monday – Friday – 8 am - 4:30 pm

The purpose of this position is to accurately move product in and out of warehouse locations, load/unload trailers, use powered industrial equipment, and perform basic inventory counts to help ensure accuracy in stock levels.

JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to accurately move product in and out of warehouse locations, load/unload trailers, use powered industrial equipment, and perform basic inventory counts to help ensure accuracy in stock levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pull orders accurately as assigned
- Read and follow Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
- Stage orders and verify the number of pallets picked and stage location
- Spot and correct potential process errors before they affect the customer
- Check for damaged product during the warehousing process and report it
- Prepare shipping and receiving documents and maintain product accountability
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts and report any discrepancies in stock
- Keep track of inventory and make sure everything is in the right place
- Follow safety rules and keep the warehouse clean
- Perform other tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant inventory control, cycle counting and forklift experience required
- Basic ability to enter data into WMS systems
- Good communication skills and ability to work with others
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Basic math skills for counting inventory
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Willing to work overtime if needed
