A leading distributor in Miami, Florida 33147 is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations for pipe, valves, fittings, and waterworks products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely purchasing, cost efficiency, and strong vendor relationships to support company growth and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

Manage purchasing of materials to ensure timely delivery at the best possible cost
Analyze vendor pricing, sales activity, and inventory trends to optimize procurement timing
Lead vendor negotiations and evaluate supplier performance
Collaborate across departments to align purchasing with operational needs
Maintain organized records and ensure accurate data for procurement decisions
Coach and support team members while holding self and others accountable
Communicate effectively across teams and resolve issues proactively
Drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes and vendor management

Requirements:

Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
2–3 years in a purchasing or procurement managerial role, preferably in a similar industry
3+ years in a progressively responsible position
Experience with product and application purchasing (pipe, valves, fittings, waterworks) required
Supervisory experience is required
Background in wholesale distribution strongly preferred
