Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $19-24/hr (DoE)
2nd Shift: 1:30 pm-10 pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a cherry picker forklift to accurately pick orders based on tickets and labels
- Verify order numbers, receiver names, and case quantities for each item pulled
- Ensure all picked items are properly labeled and stacked securely on pallets or in bins
- Report any incorrect or unclear pick tickets to a supervisor or team lead immediately
- Complete all order picking tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist with staging, organizing, and locating freight as needed
- Report damaged pallets, equipment issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor
- Perform daily cherry picker maintenance checks and complete inspection forms
- Monitor battery levels, clean batteries, and return equipment to designated charging stations after use
- May assist with the use of other material handling equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Comfortable working in cold storage environments (as low as -20°F/-25°C) or dry storage (up to 100°F/37°C) with proper PPE
- Able to lift at least 40 lbs; may vary based on site requirements
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed
- Able to work in environments with varying noise levels
