Assistant Production Supervisor

Work Schedule: 3rd Shift - 11:15 pm - 7:30 am

Job Summary
The Assistant Production Supervisor supports daily manufacturing operations by overseeing production line activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining efficient production processes. This role is responsible for directing the work of line leads, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to guide their teams including cross-functional team alignment. This role is critical in training new associates, monitoring line performance, and ensuring production goals are met while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Essential Functions
  • Oversee line leads and manage all production line workers, ensuring compliance with work orders and adherence to production specifications.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Monitor employee and machinery efficiency, ensuring PPLH standards are met or exceeded.
  • Train new associates and enforce compliance with departmental SOPs and cGMP standards.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations, promoting a secure work environment.
  • Track and reconcile shift attendance, ensuring compliance with attendance policies.
  • Report labor usage and maintain accurate records.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Oversee production line start-up processes and changeovers.
  • Ensure the final disposition of finished goods meets quality standards.
  • Advise the department manager on employee relations and operational concerns.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Support of site-specific engagement activities.
  • Some duties may vary slightly by location.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred or experience in lieu of diploma.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in a CGMP environment.
  • 1-3 years in personal care products or similar industries is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrates ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly.
  • Identifies and addresses operational challenges in a timely and effective manner.
  • Capable of working variable schedules, including weekends.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of manufacturing operations and product requirements.
  • Basic math and computer skills, with experience using manufacturing-related software.
  • Ensures accuracy in reporting and adherence to quality standards.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
