Direct Hire Pay Rate: DoE Shift: 1st shift - 6 am - 2:30 pm
2nd shift - 3:30 pm - 12 am
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide support to the Manufacturing Department and to ensure that all equipment is in safe and optimal working condition.
Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines. Applicant shall have excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
Must have advanced mechanical aptitude and ability
Must have sense of Urgency to minimize downtime.
Must have strong knowledge of electrical wiring repairs and installations, AC/DC controls and schematic diagrams.
Must have experience in general mechanical maintenance of production machinery, including maintenance of pneumatics and hydraulics, welding, and ordering machine parts.
Must be able to follow instructions and procedures, including reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications.
Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Welding skills preferred but not required.
Must be able to bend and hang conduit.
Effective completion of corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
Promote safe work practices and work in a safe manner at all times.
Assist with completion of project work as directed.
Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating action irregularities and continuing needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirement
High School diploma required; associate degree preferred.
Previous metal fabrication manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Ideal candidate will have 7+ years’ experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. Focuses on Machine setup and tear down, precision measurement adjustments, Tool and Die sharpening, failure analysis to root cause, Electrical Controls troubleshooting.
Have exposure to Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Be able to work in a team environment and alone.
Specific Skills Required Must have pertinent experience in any of the following fields: Plumbing, Welding, PLC Programming, Electrical, Pneumatics, Roll Forming, Progressive Roll Forming, Metal Fabrication environment, Precision Measuring tools, Machinist, Basic Carpentry, Small Tool Repair, and Tool Sharpening.

Physical Demands
Able to work in noisy environments that may exceed 80 decibels.
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds, multiple times in the work shift (i.e., 1-5 times per hour)
Requires bending and reaching throughout the work shift in support of wide range of activities such as adjustments, fastening of hoses and/or connections and conducting cleaning activities.
May require climbing up and down flights of stairs during the work shift (i.e., 1-4 times in an hour) as well as ascending a fixed or portable ladder to heights up to twenty feet.
Requires walking and standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours) throughout the work shift.
