Contract to Hire Pay Rate: $32-36/hr Shift: 1st Shift
Job Summary The Corrugated Production Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations in a corrugated packaging facility. This role ensures production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards while leading and developing production personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise daily production activities across corrugator and converting operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements
Lead, train, coach, and evaluate production employees to ensure safe, productive, and efficient operations
Enforce plant safety policies, OSHA regulations, and housekeeping standards. Conduct safety meetings and incident investigations
Monitor and maintain product quality, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and internal quality systems
Coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime and support preventive maintenance activities
Track and analyze production metrics including efficiency, waste, downtime, scrap, and labor utilization
Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean manufacturing, 5S, and waste reduction programs
Ensure proper material usage and inventory flow of liners, mediums, adhesives, and production supplies
Complete production reports, labor tracking, and shift handoff communications
Collaborate with planning, logistics, and management teams to support overall plant performance
Qualifications:
Minimum of High School School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
3+ years of supervisory experience in a corrugated, packaging, or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of corrugator and converting equipment preferred
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety practices
Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
Proficient in basic computer systems and production reporting tools
