Job Summary:
This role will serve as the Lead HR Business Partner for the organization.  
Responsible for aligning the Human Resource initiatives with business needs for the assigned business units and business partners. Provides support, counsel, and training to ensure on-going objectives are met.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Alignment, implementation and management of all of the human resource policies, programs and organizational development functions for the company’s three (3) workplace locations.
  • Strategic and technical assistance to management and executive staff. 
  • Interprets and ensures compliance with HR rules and guidelines and supervises professional HR staff.
  • Develops and maintains a close and confidential working relationship with Leadership Team and management members.
  • Develops and coordinates plans and policies, resources, and mission as well as goals, vision, and expectations of company, prepares and updates plans and priorities.
  • Determines, implements, measures and improves the Company’s strategy for recruitment, personnel selection, staffing, classification, development and training, organizational analysis, employment practices, immigration processes, employee assistance, employee relations and compensation practices.
  • Represents the company's human resources interests to outside entities.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.
  • Coordinates program activities, services, and/or program implementation with private providers, other governmental entities, program users.
  • Monitors the use of automated HR systems for quality control.
  • Insures seamless operational capacity of HR staff by developing performance plans, monitoring and evaluating employee performance and providing corrective action when necessary.
  • Assesses, determines and implements training programs that assist in the attainment of organizational initiatives.
  • Develops or modifies associated rules, policies, standards, and programs.
  • Oversees strategy and representation of the company in lawsuits, grievances, and complaints.
  • Directs human resource management functions and supervises subordinate personnel including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions.
  • Reviews legislation to determine impact on the operation of the organization. Gives recommendations regarding implementation of passed legislation.
  • Develops, evaluates, or reviews plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities; assesses feasibility of proposals.
  • Conducts Social Compliance audit and participates in other regulatory audits such as FDA, DEA.
  • Effectively collaborates and partners with other internal HR and functional stakeholders in support of overall HR agenda for assigned client groups and locations: e.g. Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, L&OD, Legal, EHS, Workforce Services, Compliance, etc.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Human Resources, Organizational Development Business or related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years senior level Human Resource management experience
  • Experience supervising others by assigning/directing work; conducting employee evaluations, staff training and development, taking appropriate disciplinary/corrective actions, making hiring/termination recommendations.
  • Extensive experience, knowledge and the ability to work with external immigration attorney on all aspects of recruiting and hiring non-US citizens.
    PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency using Microsoft Office; experience with an HRIS system.
  • Demonstrated successful track record in leadership and management coaching.
  • Significant professional growth and a demonstrated track record of accomplishment in key Human Resource areas.
  • Must understand and be able to apply principles, theories and practices of employment law, employee relations, benefits programs, training and organizational development, including key employee identification and mentoring, full cycle recruitment, selection and retention.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication: verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • A self-starter with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude. 
  • A team building champion driving innovative cross functional synergies.
  • Excellent project management and problem solving skills.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task among competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment at varying levels within the organization.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with complete discretion.
  • Acts in an ethical and compliant manner and requires others to do the same.
  • The requirement for English language proficiency for this job role is Intermediate-B1+ (comparable to Global CEFR Independent B1) level based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
