Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Employee Benefits Specialist with a robust background in 401(k) plans, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) administration, HRIS systems, payroll systems, and system audits. This role is essential in managing our employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance, efficiency, and accuracy across all aspects of benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 401(k) Plan Administration: Oversee the management of the company’s 401(k) plan, including enrollment, compliance, contribution tracking, and vendor relations. Ensure adherence to plan regulations and communicate updates to employees.
  • FMLA Administration: Administer Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests, ensuring compliance with federal regulations. Provide guidance to employees on leave policies and manage documentation and tracking.
  • HRIS Management: Utilize HRIS systems to manage benefits data, ensure accuracy, and generate reports. Perform regular audits to verify data integrity and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Payroll Systems Integration: Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure seamless integration of benefits data with payroll systems. Address discrepancies and facilitate accurate benefits deductions.
  • System Audits: Conduct regular audits of benefits systems and processes to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Benefits Communication: Develop and deliver clear communication materials and presentations about benefits programs, changes, and enrollment processes. Provide support to employees with benefits-related inquiries.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with benefits vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and ensure service quality and compliance with agreements.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all benefits programs adhere to applicable regulations and company policies. Prepare and submit required compliance reports and documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits administration, with a strong focus on 401(k) plans, FMLA, HRIS systems, payroll systems, and system audits.
  • In-depth knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements, including ERISA, FMLA, and IRS guidelines.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and payroll systems. Proficiency in data management and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits information to employees.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
