Position Summary
The Division 12 Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for commercial projects involving Division 12 scopes, including window treatments, blinds, shades, draperies, specialty furnishings, and interior finishes. This role includes quantity takeoffs, vendor coordination, bid preparation, and supporting successful project awards.

Position Summary
The Division 12 Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for commercial projects involving Division 12 scopes, including window treatments, blinds, shades, draperies, specialty furnishings, and interior finishes. This role includes quantity takeoffs, vendor coordination, bid preparation, and supporting successful project awards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and addenda for Division 12 scope
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and material counts
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Prepare competitive bid proposals with clear scope inclusions/exclusions
- Coordinate with project management and sales teams during preconstruction
- Assist with value engineering and cost-saving recommendations
- Maintain updated pricing databases and historical cost records
- Attend pre-bid meetings as required
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of construction estimating experience, specifically Division 12
- Strong understanding of CSI MasterFormat and Division 12 scopes
- Proficient in Bluebeam and Excel
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication, and vendor negotiation skills
- Commercial construction experience preferred
- Experience with Hunter Douglas, Spring Window Fashions, Lutron, and Mecho Systems quoting platforms
- Established network of at least 10 general contractors (book of business preferred)
