Job Overview: This role involves participating in the preparation, maintenance, processing, and auditing of both manual and automated payroll data, information, records, and reports, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of employee and payroll-related transactions. The position requires understanding, managing, and supporting navigation within HCM systems. It serves as a technical point of contact for HR functions, responsible for maintaining the integrity and reliability of HR systems. The role also supports HRIS upgrades, patches, testing, and other assigned projects. Responsibilities include assisting with end-user support issues, conducting impact analyses and planning for new system releases, and facilitating user acceptance testing for new modules or regional rollouts.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Focus on daily monitoring of workforce help inboxes and respond to employee questions
Ensure data integrity in HCM Payroll system
Maintain employee and department records and employment files
Understanding of various modules within HRIS system including but not limited to: Job information, Reporting, Business Processes, and security
Create and maintain custom reports for internal and external requests
Assist with system testing during HCM implementation
Assist in ensuring accurate and timely production of payroll functions
Participate in the review, verification, auditing and processing of payroll change requests.
Participate in the preparation and maintenance of records and reports related to payroll, employee information, time sheets, benefits, salaries, leave, taxes, deductions, payments and other assigned duties
Participate in payroll support functions; calculate, review, verify and post a variety of payroll data such as gross pay, retirement, contract adjustments, retroactive payments, hours, tax information and leave
Coordinate auditing, record-keeping and reporting functions to ensure proper application, calculation and reporting of payroll data, benefits and taxes
Compensation; verify proper authorizing signatures, coding and accuracy of payroll adjustments
Perform other administrative assignments as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree with course work in human resources, business analytics or related field
3-5 year of experience with HR data and HR systems; and payroll experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Excel (a minimum of pivot tables and v-lookup), Word, Outlook
Strong oral and written communication skills
Interpersonal skills including tact, patience and courtesy
Preparation, maintenance, verification, auditing and processing employee and payroll related transactions
General data processing; SAP experience a plus
Record retrieval and storage systems
