Contract-to-Hire
Payrate: $15-$17/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm


Job Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and organized Furniture Inspection Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for unpacking various types of furniture, thoroughly inspecting each item for any damages or scratches, and documenting your findings. You will communicate directly with clients to report any issues, ensuring they are promptly informed about the condition of their furniture. Your keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills will be essential in maintaining our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
As a Furniture Inspection Specialist, you will ensure that each piece of furniture is carefully examined, and any discrepancies are accurately recorded and reported. You will also collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient processing and handling of all furniture items. This position is vital for upholding the integrity of our products and ensuring that our clients receive their furniture in excellent condition.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Unpack and inspect all incoming furniture items for damages, scratches, or other defects.
  • Take detailed photographs of any damages or discrepancies found during the inspection.
  • Document and report all findings to clients promptly and accurately.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates on the condition of their furniture.
  • Ensure all inspected items are properly documented in our inventory management system.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse supervisor, warehouse manager, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely processing of furniture items.
  • Assist in the preparation of inventory reports for clients as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
 
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in furniture inspection, quality control, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using digital cameras and basic photo editing software.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and Excel).
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy furniture items safely.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
