Bilingual Production Supervisor

Contract-to-Hire
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Shifts: Monday – Thursday
1st shift – 6 am – 4:30 pm
2nd shift – 4:30 pm – 3 am
plus overtime on Friday/Saturday (will depend on the work load)
JOB SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor will oversee shift day to day activities, as to meet production goals and provide leadership for the employees within the shift.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure all production personnel are assigned to a specific task and are following standard operating procedures.
• Effectively identify any problems or issues that arise in a specific production room and decisively trouble shoot problem and fix where applicable.
• Ensure all room supervisors are properly filling out the necessary forms during production and assist personnel in completing the forms when requested.
• Monitor and check all work performed by the room supervisors to ensure that they properly & safely accomplished the task, within the time limit that was assigned to them.
• Ensure that GMP’s and HACCP plans are being followed by the plant employees.
• Ensure that the room supervisors are properly maintaining their rooms in a safe, organized and efficient manner.
• Confer with room supervisors to determine the progress of work, completion dates, inventory levels, and the resolution of production issues.
• Encourage room supervisors and all equipment operators to openly communicate concerns.
This role will report to the Production Manager and will have 26 direct reports on 1st shift and 9 direct reports on 2nd shift
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent/ Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 2 years Food production and/or manufacturing experience
Minimum 2 years Supervisory/leadership experience
Experience operating a sit-down forklift, a plus
Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs
Must be a result driven individual.
Understands the importance of, and has the ability to, foster teamwork
Must have computer skills including typing and experience with Microsoft Office Products including Excel.
Mus be able to read, write, speak and understand English
REQUIRED SKILLS
Communication: Provides adequate direction and feedback
Judgement: Able to make sound decisions in a timely manner
Planning and Organization: Integrates change effectively; prioritizes and plans activities
Problem Solving: Gathers and analyzes information; identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, sit; to verbally communicate; and to hear. The employee is required to walk and stand. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
